Foodtech platforms Fambo and KissaanSay have acquired early-stage funding. Fambo is a three-year-old startup that acquired pre-series stage funding of Rs 21 crore from EV2 Ventures, with participation from Rajesh Sawhney and other Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals. KissanSay is a direct-from-origin food tech startup that acquired pre-seed financing of Rs 20 lakhs from Jungle Ventures.
Both startups are at the initial stage of their development process. According to the statements of Fambo co-founder and CEO Akshay Tipathi, this funding will be used to develop operational capacities such as micro-processing centres, technology upgradation centres, geographical upgradation and expansion beyond Delhi NCR, and Research and Development Capabilities.
KisaanSay founders Nitin Puri, Manoj Karki, and Vaishali Mehta want to scale their operations, diversify their product portfolio, strengthen their distribution networks, and increase their marketing efforts.
