On Thursday, Swiggy, a food and quick commerce platform, announced that Amitesh Jha will take over as CEO of its quick commerce business, Swiggy Instamart, on September 4. Jha, a seasoned e-commerce specialist with over 20 years of experience, will succeed Phani Kishan, who will take on a broader position within the organization.

Amitesh Jha joins Swiggy from Flipkart, where he has helped the firm grow for the previous 14 years. His expertise includes cell phones, general merchandise, fashion, major appliances, and supply chain management. He helped build Flipkart as a pioneer in Indian e-commerce by driving innovation and creating industry standards.

Phani Kishan, the current CEO of Swiggy Instamart, will oversee Swiggy's Central Growth segment and collaborate closely with Group CEO Sriharsha Majety. He will be in charge of driving the company's growth strategy across its many business sectors.
Swiggy, founded in 2014, is an online rapid commerce network that offers food delivery, groceries, and other basics via Swiggy Instamart. It works in over 35 cities across India. Swiggy continues to expand its products with additional services like Swiggy Dineout and Swiggy Genie, which are backed up by its Swiggy One membership scheme.
