To encourage women to become digital entrepreneurs from India, Amazon India has joined forces together with the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) through Saheli, their program that helps women entrepreneurs who are digital in India.
Amazon India and GAME recently signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which aims to transform e-commerce, specifically for women entrepreneurs in Tier-2 cities Tier-3 cities, and beyond.
The collaboration aims to empower more than 255,000 female artisans and entrepreneurs by supplying them with the tools to help, resources, and the training required for success in digital commerce, as per a statement released by the business.
Resolving the Challenges for Women Entrepreneurs This partnership will tackle the issues female entrepreneurs face when it comes to accessing economic opportunities in the modern age. Both companies will offer workshops and training sessions, as well as assistance with onboarding, and continue to provide support - all at no cost - to bridge any gaps in digital marketing expertise for entrepreneurs.

He also highlighted the economic benefits they bring by introducing innovative products that are tailored to the preferences of customers.
Enhancing Capacity and Digital Marketing Capabilities
The primary goal of this collaboration is to build capacity and expand the capabilities of women in digital marketing entrepreneurs. Women will be provided with hands-on instruction in strategies for performance marketing, such as optimization of product listings, as well as other types of digital promotion and assistance in other aspects like marketing strategies.
Furthermore, this initiative is designed to provide entrepreneurs with information-driven insight and metrics to better understand the market and customer behavior to be better prepared to adapt to the latest developments in the digital markets.
Ketul Acharya, president of the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship, praised their commitment to increasing opportunities for livelihoods for women entrepreneurs through participation with the Amazon Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Program. WEE helps Amazon in addressing the challenges of ecosystems in the empowerment of women through providing access to education on marketplaces that are digital as well as research and insights.
Understanding the Amazon Saheli Program
Amazon Saheli is a program designed to empower women and enable them to become successful sellers on Amazon's platform. The program has already digitized over 1.8 million businesses run by women across urban, rural, and semi-urban areas.
These businesses will offer a diverse range of products, including clothing, jewellery, and food items, through the online marketplace.
In essence, the partnership between Amazon India and GAME under Saheli program marks a considerable step towards fostering gender-inclusive digital entrepreneurship and empowering women across India to succeed in the digital economy.
