In a historic stride towards transforming the educational landscape, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath jointly inaugurated 928 PM SHRI Schools in Lucknow today. The event, graced by esteemed dignitaries and virtually attended by participants from 928 locations, marked a significant leap in providing accessible and high-quality education across the state.
During the launch, Shri Pradhan expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for placing a paramount focus on enhancing school infrastructure and making it a key agenda of the government. The upgradation and modernization of over 1000 schools under the PM-SHRI initiative in Uttar Pradesh, unveiled at the event, exemplify the commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment. Shri Pradhan also praised the Chief Minister for diligently implementing the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 over the past three years. This collaborative effort, with 928 government schools in the first phase, including 81 Kendriya/Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, underscores the vision of a progressive education system. Moreover, Shri Pradhan highlighted the potential of NEP 2020 as a philosophical document capable of leading the world, reinforcing the transformative impact of India's educational initiatives.
Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, addressing the event, outlined the holistic development planned for the selected 1753 schools, emphasizing improvements in infrastructure such as Baalvatika, smart classrooms, science laboratories, digital libraries, and sports facilities. The strategic enhancements aim to create integrated campuses that provide comprehensive and well-rounded education, aligning with the evolving needs of the students and the future of education in Uttar Pradesh.
