SAP Appoints Manish Prasad as its president and managing director for India

Manish Prasad succeeds Kulmeet Bawa who assumes an international role in driving the expansion and use of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) for clients around the world.

SAP confirmed the selection of Manish Prasad as the president and managing director of SAP Indian Subcontinent. Manish Prasad succeeds Kulmeet Bawa, who takes the global lead in the expansion and use of the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) for clients around the world.

A technology expert and seasoned business manager within SAP, Prasad has been accountable for ensuring strategic and effective results for several Indian businesses in the mining, metals, and the automotive sectors. In his career that spans over two decades, he's gained expertise in managing and building international and regional companies across different geographies, such as North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

Commenting on the announcement Paul Marriott, president, SAP Asia Pacific Japan stated, "India is one of the fastest-growing markets for SAP throughout the region and globally, and a significant place for growth and innovation. I am thrilled to accept Manish and am convinced that his knowledge about the marketplace, technology, and the people behind it will help usher in the next stage of expansion in India. I want to thank Kulmeet Bawa for his outstanding contribution in the past three years, which has resulted in continued growth and success to SAP India, and I am looking forward to working with him to increase the value that our customers get by using SAP BTP."

In his new position, Prasad will advance SAP's transition to the cloud by assisting clients across all industries to transform digitally by leveraging SAP. The office is in Bangalore, Prasad will report to Marriott.
